70 years after the creation of Pakistan and the partition of India, people are still questioning whether it was the right decision. It is time to grow up and have maturity on both sides. Rather than hurting each other and questioning each other's legitimacy, let them develop a better understanding of a better subcontinent. The greatest gift through celebrations the people of the two countries can give to each other is to unfurl each other's flags together and sing the national anthems of the two neighbors together. It will be an appropriate response to the hate mongers on both sides and will sow the seeds of love for generations to live under the shade of the tree that will grow. Let love not hate and peace and not war be the driving forces. Kashmir issue can be resolved through peaceful negotiations. All other disputes can also be resolved through dialogue. Weapons will only destroy the future of generations that have yet to come. Saya zul jalal (the mercy and shade of mercy) should be on both India and Pakistan because God is neither Hindu nor Muslim.
